Chokolat Studios

is a boutique wedding and lifestyle studio run by me, Alejandra Villa Loarca. I have been a chocolate obsessed visual journalist for over 15 years working as staff photographer for one of New York’s major daily newspapers. My work has allowed me to photograph historic events and personalities and in the process I have been blessed and honored with numerous national and international awards.

But let’s get to the real important stuff…

First and foremost, I am a follower of Jesus Christ and my faith influences every aspect of my life.'

I strongly believe that chocolate brings joy to your soul ( I think this has been scientifically proven )

Besides chocolate I also have minor obsessions with bubble tea and sushi, I run a marathon to prove to myself and my children that you can do anything you set your mind to, (almost died in the process 😩)

As a child, I watched every ninja movie that came out which led me to believe I was destined to become one. Now, I like to think of myself as a visual ninja, which is about the same😎

As for photography, it’s what has given me a voice and a way to connect with others and understand the world around me. I believe that the memories we capture in film become the story of who we are and will remain long after we’re gone.

Life is a collection of memories and my goal is to help you make time stand still while capturing the essence of who you are.

I want the tears, the laughs, the “I love yous” , the hugs, the silly and the solemn that tells your story, raw and unscripted everyday life.
